Original, never been used, vintage yardage. This beautiful “loopy” damask is a rare find and in excellent condition. There is no date or mill name on the selvage of this fabric but we would date it as an art deco 1930’s pattern. It seems extremely durable and is best suited for upholstery because of its slightly stiff hand and weight. It has been folded in half the way vintage fabrics were and wrapped on a cardboard card so there is a fold down the center. I have just rolled it on a tube to relax the fold line a bit but I did test it with an iron and it stands up to heat telling us it’s not an acetate. Also the iron showed us that the fold is invisible on the good (shiny) side of the goods. This fabric would be especially gorgeous on partially upholstered modern vintage seating with a nickel or chrome frame.
